95 Cobra Misfiring at high rpm
I have a 95 mustang Cobra and it was taking 15-20 seconds to start. I also noticed at high rpm's ( usually in 4th gear) it would miss a little. I changed the spark plugs, wires, and distributer cap. It runs worse now then when it did with the old spark plugs. Sometimes it will accelerate fine at high rpms and sometimes it will misfire horrible. Any suggestions on what the problem could be? I am thinking of changing the fuel filter to see if that helps. I purchased it with 65,000 miles about 1 month ago.

1) check the timing , out it at 10* and see how it runs
2) check the fuel pressure , w/ vac on should be about 36 psi
3) check the tps , no more than 1 volt w/ key on engine off, shoot for .980-.990
4) what plugs did you use ? what gap ? do not use platinums, just cheap coppers
5) close the plugs to about .045" and see if it runs better
might as well do the fuel filter, but i believe it's a spark issue

cool, i had issues w/ platinums way back in '94 , mid rpm misfire on new plugs
swapped em out and never looked back . cheap coppers all day long, and i like small gaps too
