Default Head swap?

Hey, any link to a head swap walkthrough? I want to do mine, but have no idea how to proceed. I did a PI manifold swap from suggestions in here, and it came out beautiful. So now I'd like to do the head swap. Any hints? Thanks!!!

its basically the same, just more work. the manifold has to come off, at most of the stuff in front of the motor (i.e. alt, a/c, fan) then pull the heads and build it back up. nots not really hard, it just takes time

It's that building back up that's my problem. If it was a bolt-on issue, I'd say great. But I need to know what to do about lifters, lubricating the cams, etc...lots of that that I don't know, and I need a sort of guide...any ideas?

Casper, you are the man! That was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Your name is Casper and drive a 98 GT? My name is Gaspar and drive a 96 GT. No wonder you knew the right answer to my question.

And,
a little more info would help.... what year do you drive, what rockers are you going to use, changing the cam? lifters? what heads?
I'm behind the wheel of a 1996 GT vert, with PI manifold, but non-pi heads. I want to swap to PI heads, and get either the stock cams, or some other aftermarket cams (does it matter the type for install purposes?) Thanks!

And thanks again, Casper...:-)

There is one thing, change the dowell pins no matter what I had to do all the work over again for 2$ dowell pins, just some food for thought

I know what each part does, but I don't know (all) the names of the parts yet. What on God's green earth is a dowell pin?!
