+1, I would recommend that route also.. any type of smart trickle charger will do the trick.

check the yellow pages for batterys. i found a store that only sells batteries to the industrial market. i bought a 900 AMP battery for almost a wal-mart price.

I've had the Optima red top for almost 8 yrs and typically my car sits with the battery hooked up from Nov thru March without being started or charged. It's started my car every time in those 7+ yrs.

I have heard of reg batts lasting that long.......i think its the luck of the draw lol, optimas are nice tho

i exercise my 73 dodge only a couple times a year. wal marts best (that sound like an oxymoron) 2 years old never let me down i do use a battery switch so it sits with a zero load/drain
