The lenses are "glued" or bonded together & tough to split apart.. try some of the aftermarket sites, replacment assemblies aren't too expensive

i dont know what you've found out about just the lenses but i found a set of 2 smoked headlight assemblies and bulbs for 125 on blueovalindustries.com . i was really satisfied with they're service. you might try contacting them about new assemblies. the smoked ones i got were less then the OE assemblies for my 99. good luck with the search.

You can buy a special headlight polishing kit. It will contain a hard buffing wheel and some special compound. It will work, but the part that is oxidizing is the "hard" layer of the headlight. Once you remove the oxidation, the coating is gone too. Basically, it will continue to pit with road debris.

take it to a detail place and ask them how much they would charge to buff them. It only takes them 2 secs, very little material(buffing compound) and they will look almost new.

I was in autozone this morning picking up some glazing putty and sanding supplies when I noticed something that made me think of this. They have a kit there made by 3m that hooks onto a drill, comes with the sanding disks, buffing disks and compound and it was on sale for only $17.

I got the head light renew kit from Kragen. Cost me about $12. It includes 4 different grit sand paper as well as a plastic coating to replace the hard coating. Took me around half an hour to do the lights and they are almost as good as new. Much cheaper than new headlights.
