haha mine does this too! i thought it was low on power steering fluid so i put some more in, and it still makes a sound...but it's not so much a squeak. it sounds more like the kind of sound when your wheels are rubbing against something..but i know they aren't. idk if i lost anybody but maybe i need a new power steering pump?

No, the noise isn't coming from the pump or the belt......It sounds like a squeeky door hindge.

ABINGDON....I didnt realize u had this post up. I just posted the same problem(2nd time). The first time I noticed the squeak in my front end when I turned the wheel, I did some research and found it to be my steering rack bushings. I replaced the bushings myself with polyurethane bushings and it cleared the problem up 100%. This was 2 1/2 years ago and now its happening again. But the mechs I spoke to said the poly bushings should not wear out that quick. Maybe its the severe crappy weather we have been having in Boston thats dried up everything in my front end and its creaking like an old *****. Any other opinions??

Thats pretty much what i thought, I just wanted to get other opinions to be safe. Like you said about the crappy weather, we have been getting a bunch of icy weather so they have been salting the SH*% out of the roads. Thanks for the reply.

man my 93 lx makes so much noise in the front end. the control arm bushings first, and then the left ball joint popping, and now the steering is all sloppy which i 'm thinking is worn out tie rods. the tie rods got around 110k miles on them, and the ball joints, and control arms are the originals[159k].

I took the whip to my parents house this weekend, used my Dad's hot water pressure washer under the car. Washed out all the dirt, salt, and a bird. Got rid of the squeeky noise....Thanx for the help guys
