Hey guys. I was wanting to see if I could get any good answers on swapping my small block c6 tranny in my 85 5.0 from an AOD. The AOD is toast and I have vowed not to reinstall one. I'm planning some big motor changes and need that strong c6 in it's place. Some of the questions I have are will I need to shorten or lengthen the driveshaft? Or are they the same length? Also will my AOD shifter work?? I know the c6 is a 3 speed instead of a 4 but the aod shifter has 1st and 2nd together in the same slot so there are only 3 forward shifts. I believe it will work I just need some help from you guys on these 2 questions. Thanks.
