Help installing K&N Filter
He is trying to install a conical air filter into the stock panel box in order to keep ford happy i'm guessing. I would gladly try to help out, but I am not familiar with the 05+ generation yet.
And to the OP, the K&N filter itself really won't do too much for ya if you are looking for HP gains. You would need to actually get yourself a Cold air intake system and a tune. Also, as with any board you have to take the good with the bad. Alot of folks become BAMF's when they have a keyboard in their hands. I wish there was a rule that if you don't have something valuable to say, just to keep it to yourself.

Don't need HP increase right now - just eliminate the stock filter at this point - that should work for the beginning....
and you have to love forum know it alls....especially the ones who have had licenses at least 2 or 3 months - some a whole year

Okay, I was just making sure you weren't misinformed. I know of a ricer (friend of my bros) who got all excited about adding 15+hp to his civic. All he did was put a chrome exhaust tip on it! He didn't know there was a difference b/t that and a full cat-back system. Oh well, live and learn right?
