Question 2001 cobra svt questions!

i just bought a 01 cobra svt and i was just wondering if anybody could tell me a nice sounding cat-back exhaust to purchase (i like more of a throaty deeper sound) that doesnt break the bank. i am looking into getting a short throw shifter also because i have a hard time shifting from 2nd to 3rd at high rpms. i am also looking into getting a supercharger for it. in the book im looking at the supercharger says it fits 03-04 and i was wondering if it would fit my car, if there was any difference. i am looking into getting all of these parts out of a ford racing performance parts book from my dealership that i work at and i was wondering if anybody has had any experience with ford racing parts and could possibly give me a little info on them. i am knew to the mustangs and any info on simple bolt on not to expensive upgrades would be very appreciated. thank you for your time!!

The reason they say for 03-4 is because those came stock with an Eaton supercharger. Sounds like the exhaust youre looking for is going to be down the direction of a Flowmaster setup, cheap and deep

so will the superchargers that they say fit the 03-04 cobras work on my 01? i was also wondering if a different throttle body would be worth it? also looking for any other simple bolt on upgrades i want bolt on so they can be taken off if i ever sell the car and the buyer wants it original.

The supercharger from the 03, youll need the lower intake manifold to make it fit right. A throttle body and full exhaust, C&L intake will all net you some decent power and are all easily set back to stock

i heard that you need to change something in the cooling system of my car in order to put a charger on it! so what kind of intake can i or should i get? can i get a stock one out of a 03 or 04 cobra? what i really want to do is make my throttle a little more snappy. i dont like how the mustangs throttle takes so long to come back down they arent like the camaro's or the trans am's and i heard that there might be a couple things i can do to make it better but will never be able to get rid of it completely. which is fine with me i just want to make it a little better. i heard the mac cold air intakes are really good and will help me with throttle response!?!? if there is a list of things i can do to make my throttle a little better that would be really appreciated. thank you!!

I believe C&Ls are the best intake since they have the MAF too. There is a way to make your car's rpms relax, Im not 100% on it, try the 4.6L section

honestly i'd stay away from C&L, their mafs are the lose. and personally if you're going to spend the money on a supercharger forget the OEM ones and get a KB or something worth the money.

Really? I thought C&L was the bee's knees for 4.6's

well Idk about 4.6s but I know what I've heard about their 5.0 MAFs and I can't imagine they use a different technology for the 4.6 ones. Way better off going with a Lightning MAF.
