well i looked at the bottle of oil (Valvoline SynPower Full Synthetic 5w20)

and i also tore up the website, and it says NOTHING bout

how long it is suposta last



does any1 have any experience with this oil?

 

Sorry man, most of the synthetics i've seen say 5,7, or like 11 thousand on them. If it doesn't say i'd change it like every 6k - but that's just me.

 

Mobil one is good for 15,000 miles and probably more.The oil now a day is so good they just tell you to change it frequent so they still make money!I wouldnt change it before atleast 8,000 miles.Just keep checkin it see how it looks and go from there.If its all black and stinky change it if it still looks nice your all set

 

I did my first oil change myself today. I went with synthetic Mobil1. I had oilchanges done every 3000 miles at the shop , but since you say syntetic lasts longer I guess I will go for 5000. ???

 

Yeah I would say a minimum of 5,000 miles especially since your using Mobil1.
