If it's for your wife... ask yourself if she needs a V8, or if a V6 would do the trick.

Good point Matt. And the V6's are normally very reliable for years to come.

Yea, my wife doesnt need a V8. I was just hoping to find a nice V8 for a good price so I could get the best one. It's been a PITA finding a nice V8, but this V6 might do. What do you guys think about the 130k miles? Are Fords reliable with that many miles? Honestly this is my 1st american car as I have always had Japanese vehicles. I've always heard of Fords not making it past 150k miles unlike Jap cars which can last until 300k, etc. etc.

Thanks for the advice guys & keep it coming.

How much are you looking to spend? Auto or 5 speed?

thats retarded. PLENTY of american vehicles make it past 150 if WELL MAINTAINED. the thing is you dont hear about too many mustangs making it past 150 not because the motors suck, but because people are boosting, spraying, and modding the **** out of them and end up blowing the motors. hell theres many people on this forum running over 150k miles still spraying the juice and their motor is still strong.

I want to spend around $8K or so. It has to be auto though as my wife can't drive 5 speed & I don't have time to teach her as I'll be deploying soon.

Thanks for the advice. This one has a CAI & exhaust but I don't think he raced it, looking at the condition of the car he really took good care of it. I'm still looking around for another Mustang, hopefully a V8 but people are asking way too much for them around here. Fort Stewart/Savannah area sucks for car shopping, lol.

Have you tried autotrader.com and cars.com? You can search private listings and listings from lots and dealers.

I go v8 all the way xD
I don't drive a mustang just for the looks, I go for the added kick, coming from a woman's perspective.

Hello,

I have tried autotrader & cars.com but haven't found much. I found one which looked good, drove about 1 1/2 hours & it was a POS. I'm kind of tired of driving around to see these cars & they suck, wish I could find something nice here. That V6 is the nicest one I have found but the whole hitting a deer thing scares me, same as the 130K miles in about 7 years. I'll keep looking though, thanks.

I know what you mean, it gets frustrating when you drive somewhere far and it's a bust. The right mustang will pop up, just be vigilant
