1984 Mustang with GT40P Engine Swap--keeps blowing out heater cores
This car has had 4 heater cores put in in the last few years. I have the restrictor in and I have also put in a crossover pipe between the inlet and outlet hoses to try to relieve some pressure, but it obviously isn't doing anything. Any suggestions or ideas on why it's doing this?
Edit: It is a 5 speed if that helps at all...I don't know why it would, but there ya go. haha

it has a stock H.O. water pump on it since the front cover, oil pan, water pump, etc. had to be changed to put the engine in the car.
update: i talked to a friend who thinks maybe the radiator cap holds too much pressure. it makes sense, but could it be that simple? guess i'll pick up a cap with a lower pressure and see what happens.
