removing dash
I am going to be painting the interior of my car. I want to remove the dash so I can paint it and to install new gauges. Is removing the dash a hard task? I hope its not too much of a hassle. I need the steps needed in removing it. I don't want to screw anything up.

Its not hard to remove, but a just a lot of pieces to pull off/out so it's time consuming.

the 2 tox screws are under side of the top of the gauge area. there is one torx screw behind the cd player which must be pulled out to remove the large center piece. the piece surrounding the shifter just pops out, so do the ones by the window swithes. they do require force though

Im not sure why either????Just because he knew the heater core is under there and blows up every once in a lifetime??And a far as the dash popping off??There is about 60 screws that hold it all along the windshield and down below. Its defiantely a task to take off.Its true what atlantic said about the things he mentioned popping off but there is alot of screw and wires to unplug. Now this might be a dumb question but why would you want to paint a dasc in a stang??What color??
