Default Name That Electrical Problem (2001 V6)

Alright, I was installing my aftermarket stereo last night. Everything was wired correctly and hooked up just fine. All unused wires were insulated as to not cause a short. Before assembling the dash I did as anyone would do and make sure all functions of the stereo work before mounting it completely. Everything worked. As I pushed the mounted stereo into the dash I heard a spark and the stereo went dead =( BUT, what makes me wonder is the fact that the eject CD stillworked, and if a CD is put into the stereo I can hear it turning as if it were playing. I took the deck out and pu the stock radio back in... nothing. all the buttons lit up, and the clock displayed the time, but n radio or stereo function. Just like the other radio though, it would accept and eject CD's and turn them as if it were playing. Before I go throuh the dash wiring looking for a short, I was wondering if anyone knew this to be a possible fuse blown.
