Some good advice in this thread. I have a stock 5L except for some external bolt ons like e fan, al driveshaft, 3.73's and exhaust.

In 4 runs I tried adjusting my launch on street tires and shift rpm. I spend the first 3 runs concentrating on the 60' and shifting at 5000rpm. On the 4rth run I shifted earlier at 4800rpm. My best from the 1st 3 was 13.7 @ 101. Last run was 13.6@102. I wish I had more time to experiment. So around 4800 is definately the magic number for a stocker.

I'm not sure, it's all stock i haven't messed with the timing. I think im gonna go ahead with JD's and jsfram's advice and try doing some runs in the 4800-4900 RPM range see how that goes.
