put away
you may want to look into a battery tender. Also I've heard of guys puting the car up on jack stands to keep the weight off the tires. I guess it all depends on how long you plan to store it. I would fire it up at least once a moth and let it get up to operating temps if you possibly can.
Do not fire it up once a month. Unless you have the opportunity to drive it for at least 15 minutes. It's better off left alone. How long are you storing and where?
A major detail, wax and lube everything. Change the engine oil. Fill the tank. Cover it up. Take the battery out.

really depends on how long the car is going to sit as to how far in depth i would go, and where its being stored. is it inside or outside and how long is it gonna sit?

If you will leave it for months on end and cannot at least run it once a month, then stabil the tank and disconnect the batt.
