Then you don't know how to mod a V6, and need to learn more. I have owned both (and still own a mix of V6 and V8s, including pushrod and OVC versions of both).

...a tall gear will affect gas mileage, also, a gear set with install is on average $500, add that to the $500 to purchase and install the nitrous, and the $300 for the tuner and tune, you are now spending $1300 more, which could buy a GT. your argument is now invalid.

as for what it will take to keep up with a gt, look at it this way. an X-charged full exhaust dyno tuned drag prepped v6 couldnt keep up with my intake, email tuned, axle backed road race suspenion v8. as for gas mileage, i got 28 mpg on the way to the track that day, he got 17 mpg.
This whole section is pure BS, and not even worth a reply.

as for reflecting poorly, you dont need me for that. you guys do it enough for yourselves. especially when you post threads about what engine to go with in the general tech section of a forum and there is a subforum directly underneath dedicated to the S197 body style.
so theres your detailed retort. as for the 05 first run argument, get a used 06. price difference is not going to be that detrimental. also, i have no hatred for the v6. like i said, i started in one. any other personal attacks can be sent in a pm.
This is the GENERAL TECH section. This thread is very well suited for this section due to the OP looking for a range of answers from all sorts of members, not specifically 4.0L owners. Many members who have quality input on this thread don't actively read the 4.0L section.

Wow, did you come to that conclusion with your staggering personal intellect? Or perhaps you had to probe a dictionary and your service manual for your technically astounding sentence...

You remind me of onegoal, but at least he was entertaining. You are just full of yourself.

+1 to soldier. I'd love to see your turbo charged v6 eater.

Tell me about it. It's like some people are too scared to open their eyes and learn something. Instead they cling to this idea that you NEED a V8 to be happy. I feel so bad for those types of people. Someday I hope they crawl out of their caves and learn to walk upright.

I have a 00 v6 and love it. Sure its not as fast as teh GT, but there are tradeoffs. The v6 has the power to get what needs to be done done, but at the same time saves you on gas and insurance.

I'm not sure why so many people think the GT is the end all be all of the Mustang. There is a definate market for the V6... if there wasn't Ford wouldn't make them.
