Mustang GT 5 spoke 17’’ rims
Heys guys i was looking at buying a set of Mustang GT 5 spoke 17' rims...i am still a ford guy and wish to add some mustang wheels to my other car. i know the the 114.3 fits my car just that the rims are a 30 offset and mine are a 35...so i was wondering if i bought some oem Mustang GT 5 spoke 17' rims...i could just shave off the back 5mm so it will fit my car. I dont have the rims in front of me so i dont know if it is worth my time to get them. So can someone tell me if i can safely get the back of the rim(mating surface) machined. thanks

Yes, you probably can, provided that the surface is still big enough to envelope the tire treads, as well as provide a needed seal. If the part you're shaving off has some sort of lip on it, or isnt smooth, or you're going to be altering the "flushness" of the rim with the tire, then don't do it. Otherwise, a 5mm machining won't be any problem. Good luck.

Oh apologize for my bad wording but i meant the where the actual wheel connects to where the studs are...so the offest would be alright...its a bummer without have the wheel in front of me but i figure mustang guys have mustang rims so they could possible check it out for me.
