Good idea. remember if you go with a click type, always unwind it... leaving tension on the spring will cause it to go out of calibration sooner than it should.

I went out to Sears today and picked up a 23 dollar craftsman one. It's not the click type or anything just the bottom of the line dial type.

hey it will work. Just remember, Look at the needle from DIRECTLY overhead to get a good reading.

10 bucks for a torque wrench?

humm mine was about $130

"What's worse? "no torque wrench" or a "cheap torque wrench"?"

i would have to go with cheap torque wrench. whats the point of haveing a torque wrench if it isn't accurate. the "clicker type" tend to be fairly accurate and they have the advantage of when your in a tight spot you don't have to be in able to see the dial.
