I have a 94 Mustang that I had in the shop for a few weeks to have the transmission rebuilt. When I got it back, something seemed different about the shifter, but now I'm not sure so I was wondering if someone else with a 94 Mustang could answer a question for me. The letters next to the automatic shifter (P, D, R, etc.) are normally white and light up bluish when the headlights are on. But is there an indicator of which setting it is currently in? I seem to remember the D being orange when it was in drive, etc...

 

I think thats right, but do like I did, and put a leather boot over it, with a bullitt trim ring.......and you wont care!!
