Wheel Spacers?

RE: Wheel Spacers?
for any of you thinking the wood sounded like a good idea just think what is gonna happen when you torque your wheels down they will end up in some kind of cockeyed off kilter angle that will cause all kinds of vibartion. and then as you go around coners and such putting more preasure on the wood it will become compressed causeing your wheels to come loose just think of all the fun that would lead too.
the expense of the wheel spacer is becaue they bolt to your weel hub and then have a seprate set of studs on them to bolt the wheel too. there is a lot of machining that has to be done to make the work right.

thanks but my wheels are 4 lug. right now drilling some holes in a 1" thick circle of plywood is sounding pretty economical any feedback on that? sounds crazy enough to work
