Backfire issue

Backfire issue
So my 2007 gt will sputter and then backfire at 5k to 6k rpms in 3rd gear, 4k to 5k in 4th gear, and 2k and on in 5th gear. There is no check engine light and my tuner isn’t reading any codes. Anyone have this issue before or have an idea what it could be?

Backfiring (loud, almost violent "bang" sound) or misfiring? Two different things.
From what you describe it sounds more like misfiring. The go-to's there would be check and replace as necessary ignition components such as spark plugs and coils. Since you have no cylinder specific trouble codes I would concentrate on plugs and inspect the coil boots, which can be replaced individually as needed for about $10 apiece. Look for any signs of deterioration, if you see a brown-ish dust like substance on the boots then that is indicative of current arcing through.
