Me and my friends were thinking that we could find a cheap set of 5 lug rims with some crappy tires on them, bolt them up to my car and burn them up... outside of the obvious wear and tear, would this cause any damage? I've seen this done before - but it's on my car this time and I dont want to mess anything up.

i wouldn't even worry about the tire size. Just make sure the rims and rubber clear your brakes etc. and smoke away.

i seen this done before, it was funny till the tire blew out and the rubber hit the fender and dang near ripped it off the car, broke the quad shock , brake line and wedge the tire between the gas tank and lower control arm, so think before you act , young grass hopper
