Default Newbie wanting to swap motors...

Well, new to this forum anyway.

Hi all! I'm getting to the point where my 3.8 is going to be paid off and I wanted to celebrate by doing an engine swap. How much hassle is it to change up to an V8? I was thinking of getting a new front cross member and shoehorning a 5.4 in there.

Suggestions?

John

of coarse you will need a new wiring harness and tranny and you might want to up grade the rearend.

I figured I'd find a donor car someplace and pull all the stuff from it. Problem is, what do I pull? I know the wiring harness is different. I have a line on a T56 I could use, and the new motor would come from Kar Kraft. The brakes would be upgraded as well. What else would I need besides a better rear end?
