good doner for a 5.0 swap
I have an 83 GLX with V6 auto, nice car but a bit of a dog...I am planning a 5.0 auto swap using a doner. What years would be the best match? I am an old timer and will stick with carb...no computers...
I am assuming I will need motor mount brackets, AC, PS, alt brackets, radiator, exaust, trans cross member, possibly springs.
Unless someone can tell me spacifically what I need, I can pick up a 5.0 pretty cheap or free, but have been told I will need all this stuff.
Used to do a lot of this type of stuff on mopars, but don't know the Mustangs well enough.
Any info appreciated.

RE: good doner for a 5.0 swap
one thing that you will have to swap is the k member the 6cyl cars used a diffent one. you can get them out of a junk yard all day long just find a 87-93 mustang in a junk yard 4 cyl and v8 where the same. (the reason i say 87 up is there was a upgrade in them and theres a slight diffence.
as far as motor a 98 explorer would be a good choice they have gt40p heads already. or you might want to do a 351 they fit in there real nice.

ORIGINAL: the dit
I saw a thread here that said the K member was OK, it was only different on the inline 6 versions. Is this not true?
Thanks
