But the black car with the black bar looks better thatn the black car with the chrome bar. but i wouldnt do it

the way it looks to someone is very relative. from a practical standpoint it stiffens the chassis very nicely. feels very solid.

On my '98 vert I've got a single black "sport-rally bar" i believe it was called. It's about 6" wide and bolts solidly on right behind the front 2 seats. Looks really normal with the top down. There is even a break light built into the top of the bar. It really looks like a standard part to me, as in its not as gaudy as some cages I have seen. It may not be THE safest option, but it's better than nothing on the chance of a roll-over?
