Default Question about driving your stick GT...

While accelerating in 1st gear, pressing the clutch at under 2,000 RPMs, does this cause a clunking noise in your transmission? I dont know if it always did this in my new GT but i recognized it after I installed a tri-ax short shifter assembly.
Thanks for your input.

I do not notice a clunk unless I have to let off the gas right after getting into first because some %^&* started moving when the light turned green and then decided they didn't want to move at more than 3 miles per hour...

yeah me too i noticed that clunking sound ... and if you want to shift at low rpm's just try to let go slowly of the clutch ... and in the same time add a little throttle, you have to balance both the clutch and throttle .... then that clunking gear sound wont come .... im still practising on shifting ... sometimes i get it right sometimes i dont...

It's the clutch return spring. You can easily lube it, but since I had a new car, I figured the dealer could crawl under ther. He did and it fixed the problem.
