one last question

i have my stock car with about 5 gallons of 87 in it...... if they are gonna tune it to 93, what do i do?
should i just drive the hell out of it tonight and run it really low, then get the tune and immediatley get 93?

I would drive out as much as the 87 as possible prior to the install and tune, or you could buy some octane boost but I avoid that stuff myself, no promises on how well it mixes in.

+1 on this one...I wouldnt suggest driving on 87 when tuned for 93.. doesnt sound like it could be too good. Just drive around until your tank is empty, then fill her with 93 tonight so that youre prepared for tomorrow... or if you dont feel like driving around just let it idle in the drive way or something.

Yeah I would probably stay clear of the octane booster and 87, I think that might give you some weird type of final octane rating like 96 or something and if you are gettin a custom tune that might screw you car up later if you cant make that exact combination of 87 w/octane booster...Just my $.02

Just drive-it-like-you-stole-it for a few hours and then refill the whole tank with 93...
