So I was driving home from work this morning and I heard something strange--I could actually hear things other than my exhaust while accelerating. I had SLP Loudmouths installed a little over a week ago and they've been wonderfully loud until today. HELP!!! It's quieter than stock now!!!

Did you have the windows rolled up for the first time?

If that's not it, you should just give 'em to me. I love the look of the SLPs. I just don't want anything terribly loud. Sounds like they'd be perfect for me.

That sounds more like an engine problem than a problem with the LM's. Cars arent supposed to just "go quiet"... if you have no exhaust sound from the LM's then you have no exhaust period and that isnt good. I have no idea what could be wrong so that you have less exhaust than you should but its not the SLP's fault.....I have had mine now for over a month and they just keep getting louder... I love it..

certain RPM ranges with the correct amount of throttle will make any exhaust quiet . . . try tacking out a gear w/ windows down and radio off and then see if you hear it good . . .

then drive through an ally. . . that will def let you know how loud they are

I guess by quiet I don't mean "quiet." What I mean is quieter (is that a word?). Before, when I first would take off it was very deep and loud. Now, however, that sound is pretty much gone. It's still loud at higher RPMs, but the deep tone is gone. It makes no sense to me.

Well, my offer still stands. You can just send 'em to me. I'll be sure they get put to good use. Seriously though, if you're not happy with them, and think about getting rid of them, let me know. I may be interested in buying them. I heard an 04 Mach 1 drive by tonight that had that really deep raspy sound, and it sent chills up my spine. I think I may have changed my mind on not wanting something too loud.

i tell you what, the car will do that naturally when its warming up . . . it will be really loud when you start it from like an overnight sitting for about 10 min or so. . . then the car warms up and it just naturally isn't as loud as when you first started it. . .that is normal, if thats what your experiencing. . .
