push button ignition
I installed the button and I enjoy pushing the button also. When I wired mine, I used the original cigarette lighter power leads to supply power to the button. The disadvantage to this is that the "engine start" light on the button is always on, even when the car is off. I don't know, that might be an advantage, you can't see it during the day and at night, it looks really cool. It does not draw very much power ad I've left the car parked for over 4 weeks and had no problems starting it.
There are some major advantages to hooking it up this way. If you push the button with no keys in the ignition, you have Aux power to all of your electrical devices for about 10 minutes.
I keep my car in the garage and sometimes I am in the garage without my keys. If I need to put the top up or down, raise or lower the windows, or listen to some music, for a few minutes while I'm in the garage, I just reach in and push the big red button.
I definitely like the convenience and unlike the trunk monkey and eject buttons that otehrs are using to cover the power outlet, this one is functional. Don't get me wrong, if someone could get the eject button to work, I would rather have one of those
