06 GT mods...
Im the proud new owner of a beautiful black 06 gt! Its got the red leather interior and its my dream car...and its in MY DRIVEWAY!!!! I really want to make this car my own. I want it to be the classic looking mustang that it is, but i also want to show all of these rediculous looking rice rockets and imports what american muscle is about. Having zero mechanical experiance but having big dreams can be a little frustrating...I guess im looking for some suggestions as to where to start...and money IS an object. Most places i check seem to have the same basic suggestions...Exhaust, air intake, etc. Anyone have anything else? As far as Im concerned this will be the summer of mustang and i want everyone in my neighborhood to know it!!! Thanks... Silverbrad@mac.com p.s. im in long island ny

RE: 06 GT mods...
Nice man, me 2. Got her a month ago. Well welcome to the club, and the addiction.
If you want some visual upgrades, go for some louvers and caliper paint. That makes her stick out alittle. I posted all the info here: https://mustangforums.com/m_2820864/tm.htm
For performance, first of all PLEASE put snthetic oil in her if not already. Whew.
For price of power, the most common upgrades are as you stated, exhaust and intake and tune
I dont have any because I have to save alittle first
Even some really good spark plugs can help alittle, expecially the iridium ones. They ignite better and can give an unnoticable bit of extra power
Hope this helps
oh and for some torque, an off road x pipe would do the trick, but the exhaust will sound alittle raspy
to hears some sound clips of exhaust combos, go to brenspeed.com and click on sound clips
Have fun

RE: 06 GT mods...
Congrats, I'd run the oil that is in the car to 1000 miles, change it with a Ford Syn Blend then at 5k miles go to mobil one.
Stick with the fundatmentals. Cold Air Intake w/ Tune, Pulley's (steeda only in my opinion) and an off-road pipe. This should satisfy for awhile.
