The fact that you didn't have an immediate LOPA (Loss Of Pushrod Accident) to the atmosphere is a good sign. You won't know what you MAY have stressed until it breaks (IF it breaks), however. Reinstall the rev limiter and don't look back. Also, DO NOT tell the dealership about this! LOL!
Losing a pushrod is pretty tough in an overhead cam engine.....

My bad.I stand corrected. But my intent was more comical than technical.

Is it even possible to have no rev limiter? I know with my tunes from brenspeed I could change it, but there wasn't a remove option.

I know in my auto shifting it myself, I have been way in the red zone a few times by accident and everything is fine. I just wouldn't want to keep it there.

i lost ALL of my pushrods, man. i think they're under my bed or something

if there are no noises, and everything's normal, you should be fine methinks. worst case is a valve made contact with a piston, but didn't permanently damage anything.

The OP reminds me of myself. I always freak out when something potentially damaging happens to my car. However, if nothing is making any noises, and if it runs fine, don't worry about it. Everything is fine in moderation, just don't do it again
