Default S197 Colder heat range plug life questions..

Ok I have to replace the plugs in my car. How long should plugs last on a car with FI? I've had these in since November. Do some brands have longer life than others? Currently running Autolite HT0...not ideal plugs but I'm on a budget and the nicer Brisk Silvers or FRPP plugs are a lil too much right now.

Please advise...

Why are they not the ideal plugs? I'm using HT0 @ 0.035"(if I remember correctly) gap. Have been in for almost a year and seem fine but I'm not at the track every day either.

edit: I don't know how long they should last under FI conditions but if your tune is good and they're not fouled then I'm assuming they'll last for at leat a year or two. Again, I've had mine in for a year but it's pretty low mileage (~11k), not constantly in the boost and not at the track or racing around town all the time. Damn, I sound boring[&:]

part of some trouble shooting I'm doing...I SHOULDN'T be replacing plugs already. I found some oily gunk inside the throttle body butterflies and the inside of the intake plenumn behind the blower itselft when I was removing the plugs. So I'm a lil concerned.

the hex screw came out of the bottom of my catch-can(prob. because I didn't tighten it all the way up) so I'm wondering if that might have something to do with what I found and the plugs.

Maybe, I dunno but a good cleaning on that TB, front & back & that inlet tube & put that separator back together & see how it goes. I've got El Cheapo separator & still get some oil on my TB, inlet tube.
