boomtube alignment

However, I think I'll just take it somewhere else. The fact that they let it go looking the way it does (although it's not that bad) just tells me they really don't want to fool with it any more than they have to.
Thanks for the replies.

i've seen stock mufflers that were misaligned. i think it is normal for the passenger side axleback to be a little off even on a stock stang. what i did was loosen up the midpipe, adjust the axleback the best it could, rest it on a jackstand, have a friend hold it in place while i tightened it all up. i also used a few washers on the rear hanger to pull it down and center a little.

Bumping this older thread instead of making another...
I just had my Boomtubes installed this morning (by a service station). They sound AWESOME. However, the right exhaust is hanging noticeably lower than the left. I called them and said, hey, I need to have this adjusted more and they said there was NO adjusting them...other than maybe bending a bracket.
Is this correct? Has anyone else had trouble getting these vertically aligned and what was the solution?
Also, I noticed on AmericanMuscle's website that they recommended these for new exhaust:

Would that make a difference? Pardon my ignorance, all I know how to do is drive the darn thing.

I had the same problem. I took the advice of another forum member and bent the hangar by hand. This soloution worked very well.
