How much to have a 9 sec GT?

RE: How much to have a 9 sec GT?
I am going to have to start researching the rules for safety equipment.
I can defineatly see how with a full cage etc, etc the car looses functionality.
CK- Good luck with setting the records. You deserve it for all the hard work you did, and you certainly have a combination no one has seen before. Personally I think you will do it. You will have to let me know which Mags you will be in so I can make sure to pick them up.
And Hypersurf, WTH? Get that chip off your shoulder. And there are plenty of people trapping 4 mph faster in the 1/4 with 40 less hp on DOT tires.
Plus in a HP calculator that ET with an approx weight of 3800 pounds state you are making an estimated 371hp.
With you claimed HP you should be able to run an 11.4.
What does all that tell you? It says there are alot more variables in racing than just HP. With CK's power and suspension knowledge I have little doubt he will make to the 8's or at least damn close.

I am sure it will run 11.4 on DOT tires, but on stock street tires it runs 12.65. Pay attention.

As I said, the real test will be hooking 1000+ HP on a tire that will fit in the well. If I tubbed the car & put a ladder bar on it, there would no doubt in my mind to see 8's but then I definitely couldn't call it a 'street car'...lol
It's all going to come down to hooking the tires me thinks...
