Default Clutch linkage difference between cars

On my stang, the clutch feels like it's a long throw? and the pedal applies a constant pressure against my foot at all positions. I thought all s197s were like this until a buddy who just bought a bullitt, sat in my car car noticed a huge difference between ours. And then yesterday I test drove another 06 GT for a buddy and that clutch felt similar to that of a civic. The pressure felt different depending where the pedal was and felt like the distance to the floor was less. I'm gonna compare both our cars to a third tonight, (our exhaust guru's) hopefully.

But my question comes down to this: Is this one of those simple factory differences or is something going on here?

i'm thinking that the slavecylinder
and the pressure plate assembly, are
the only items in question here

The bullit might have a slightly different clutch. My spec stage 2 engages higher up in the pedal travel, which means it disengages futher up from the floor.

My son and I both have 2007 GTs and the clutches are in fact different in how much travel they have. Mine will grab about 1/3 up from the floor and his is more like 2/3 up. According to Ford, there is no provision for adjustment so learn to live with it. They were reluctant to even admit that such a difference is possible. Would it have been so hard to add a means of adjusting clutch pedal travel?

Without actually being able to adjust the amount of hydraulic fluid going to the slave cylinder, I don't see how it would be possible.
