when the top speed of a c6 corvette is ~186 (especially with more hp and a much more aerodynamic body), i really doubt a mustang with just cams and a tune can match that

No, lol he did NOT hit 180. He would have a hard time hitting 165 going downhill with the S197's aerodynamics. Blower and going downhill on the autobahn, MAYBE.

What speedo goes to 180? He would be well into the over-drive gear which probably isn't enough to get to 180 with his hp and terrible aero. I doubt I could even hit that mph with my setup putting right under 500 rwhp. Maybe if I had a 6 speed with some nice overdrive gearing, then maybe. He would need a hell of a lot of road to get to 180 considering he probably ends 4th at around 145 and would be in 5th trying to get 35 more mphs with something like a .62 gearing. Highly doubt it. What speedo does he have? How did he know?

I noticed my GPS has a new highest mph reading of 183mph. I KNOW it wasn't me. I just might have to ask my son about that. I don't know if it's a false reading or if he actually hit that speed.

Lol! There's a reason I delete my top speed after a run. In my 01 Cobra (307 rwhp) it tops at 143. Nowhere near 180.
