burn out question for auto
#12
Please Auto drivers...you're giving us a bad name. Let's clear this one up. the OD (overdrive) button only does one thing. It lets the car shift into 5th gear. that's it. It has no effect on throttle response, aggressive behavior, or how long it takes to shift from 1st to 2nd. with overdrive off, the car will use gears 1-4. turn overdrive on and it goes to 5th gear....that's it, really.

this is what i did. put it in 2nd and turn tc off. rev to 5000 rpm and the car should smoke. you may end up with a problem, i warpped one of my rear rotors. i installed a line lock and it works much better, that maybe something for you to look into.

the track is a 1/8 of a mile and my best time was 8.2,but i couldnt get traction of the hole even with the slicks.the only way i was able to launch was without accelarating and even then i couldnt punch it all the way down until about 3000 rpms.i feel like i could of gotten an 8.0 or 7.9 at least, with a good launch.
