You can have popping if it's rich. All you need is some exhaust leaks to help the extra fuel ignite! I went through this with my motorcycle. I could also lean it out so much in the over run area, that it wouldn't pop.

I'm talking about letting off the gas, not WOT.

The popping/gurgling sound I'm hearing is when I'm off the throttle.

I'm beginning to think that these "problems" might just be in my head. Either way, I think I'm going to get a dyno tune sometime soon.

It is going to pop/gurgle when you downshift or during decel. There is always fuel being injected, but with the throttle blades closed, you are restricting the air greatly.

Anyone with an A/F guage and custom tune care to share their AFR at closed throttle and high rpms? Just curious what these tuners set the maps at in the overrun area.
