Ok I dont have a tuner yet. but i wanna do an 'x' pipe on my car. Can i buy the wire extensions and 'x' pipe and be ok? Or will my computer throw codes? I think it will just want verification if im wrong or right. I want my exhaust louder! I have corsa's what can i do? Thanks in advance

I didn't need any extensions when I put my bassani x-pipe on. No tuning was needed either and I never had an O2 code problems with it. I did use the cats though, which makes a difference.

If you use cats you dont need a tuner, but if you use no cats than you will get a cel. It happen on my car.

The only time your going to need 02 extensions is if your using Long tube headers. You'll be good just putting the x-pipe on, as long as it has cats.

And if i buy one with out cats then all i need is a tuner to turn off the sensors correct?

That's it. But it will need a custom tune. You can't put a tune into the tuner yourself. A Bamachips tune is $50. Brenspeed is $75.

If you get a CAI and a tuner with a descent tune.. hell yeah. 25hp or so depending on the setup. (you will notice the sound of the car will be wilder too).

Sorry for Hijacking the post, but Pyres cated x-pipe with hi flow cats, do I need to cut the pipe to install the cats. I am looking at this picture at American Muscle and I am confused..

also any recommendations between Pyres and SLP cated x-pipes? Is there any horsepower gain or just sound?
