Default flowmaster vs spintech

Worked 11 hours got home and found a huge flowmaster box on the porch. Couldnt wait so I installed them right away! Amazon.com shipped 2day fedx for only $27.... other companies quoted me $68-$121 for ground service.....so you gotta love that.

Spintech mufflers sound fantastic with xpipe and stock cats/manifolds but once I installed longtube headers and hf cats, it just droned/trumpeted way too much. After detroit rocker cam install, exhaust volume got even louder. I really didnt enjoy driving my car anymore. Sounded like a ProGas 10 second monster with very little throttle. Completly annoying as a daily driver.

I took side by side pics of each muffler but this site wont upload them....keeps saying "upload failed". The spintech is half the size of the flows. Its a huge difference.

With the flows, idle is about as loud but has that flowmaster tone. Driving there is no drone whatsoever. The 1800-2k rpm is now drone free!!!! Woohoo!!! I am so glad I got these. First video with new flowmasters AT.

Now with the spintechs, you will notice it sounds great at idle but driving it sucked!!! LOL

Still sounds like a pro-gas monster to me lol. You're right about the cams increasing the volume substantially. I had an off-road pipe and took that puppy off asap. Now I run catted H. This is about all the volume I can handle.

How do u like that raspy loudness of the flowmasters when they shift with the accelerator about about 3rd or half throttle. My flowmasters seem to be dying down on that raspy loud noise. Have you ever heard of them having a break in period. BTW here is my video

Hey everyone. I get my Detroit Rockers installed at Brenspeed July 13th. I like the sound of the Flowmasters that everyone seems to be going to. Which Flowmasters is everyone using. I see 2 different ones on Brenspeeds web site.

I went with American thunder, NOT the classic. I have read where the classic ones have drone. Are you getting headers too? My exhaust totally changed after the long tube install and removing the stock cats. The flowmasters totally cleaned up the sound.

Your gonna love those cams!!
