Too true. I spent a good long time looking a those. Also kinda pricy @ $75.00.

Now that I got the new setup, I might think about collecting a few ***** depending on my mood.

Really? I think it has great grip and a classy/sporty look. One of the minor things that really caught my eye when the 05's were in commercials.

Tell ya the truth, it does have better grip than most options out there. Sweaty hand sure not to grip a pool ball that's for sure.
Coming into a turn at 100 mph, I don't want a glassy ball to be gripping on to, lol.

Just stay away from the stack racing ball at AM or anywhere else for that matter. I had one on my 05 and it broke the first day i had it on the car from normal shifting. the threaded insert inside the ball fell out. spent the next 6 months gluing it back in every few months. I will say that the ball shifters are much more comfortable in the hand than that stock shifter.

Default Shifters that won't go bust on ya!

Stoenr, I'm not saying the stock shifter is bad. It just broke on me. I wanted to
go with something that wouldn't do that again. After I super-glued it back in place,
it probably wasn't going anywhere any time soon.

The sweaty hand thing... I get that all the time, and the pleather on the stock
shifter was good about the grip. I haven't driven my car further than 10 miles
with the new shifter so it hasn't happened yet. You get a really nice solid feel
Can really feel the gears you are running through.

I did notice that the plastic was starting to show through the pleather on the top
of all 4 sides on the shifter, not sure how much longer that part would have held
out before just coming off.

I remember the 2003 shift **** being fully wrapped in what I thought was leather.
That felt nice but looked awfully bland.

Stoenr, the stock shifter does look very nice with the 1up package and aluminum
dash! Too bad it broke on me. =(

*** Funny story... ***
I was in my garage getting some supplies. I left the ball on the driveway with my
toy car (seen in pictures). I turn around and there's some 3-4yr old with my toy
car and holding the billiard ball + his 2 tractor toys. I go racing out to the kid just
in time to see him DROP my billiard ball on the driveway and watch it start rolling for
the street... O M F G ! ! ! NUUUOOO U stupid kid, those are my toys!!!

Luckily I caught the ball and took back my toy... Sutpid kid, where did he come from
anyway?
