Exclamation coolant everywhere!

i just installed an eH2O an hadnt ha any problems then today i saw my temp gauge was buried to the right! smelling coolant i pulled over and saw it had sprayed. funny thing was the resevoir was full! i turned the water pump on with the ingnition and heard it screech for a second then i heard water in it and the resevoir was instantly completely empty! and the temp gauge
moved back to the middle. then some more coolant
flowed into it after the car sat for a moment (wp off) so i decided to add more coolant in and while doing this i saw that there is some sort of black particles in the resevoir, almost like dirt? and under where the hose is the part attached to the resevoir looks bulged like a garden hose does with built up pressure(i dont recall if its always looked this way). i was
able to drive it home without it going
past its usual temp. but am i really ok?

Some OEM Reservoir caps have been known
to crack and leak (spray under pressure).

When was the last time you flushed the coolant?

ahh its been a while... say... 30,000 miles plus? i have a picture of the resevoir...

I went back and tried to leave and my car overheated again. i noticd it was different becasue at idle the fan seemed to be on full blast... I went back and saw the resevoir full again. i turned the pump on and it cycled a little then stopped. So i assumed my wiring had come lose on the pump. I re wired it and she started up again. I drove it home and havent had problems yet but im being kind of careful as i dont know if its the coolant system iteself or the pump thats malfunctioning..

here is how i wired my pump.. (no relay kit..yet)

ground under throttle body

wire running under throttle body
to fuse box to a ignition only fuse (believe its engine #3 from the owners manual)

closer look at wiring.. half a fuse tap (it wouldnt fit completely around the fuse so cut it in half and have them both into the fuse slot) i also have a 20amp in the fuse holder.

Uh yah. Overheating is pretty hard on an engine. Playing with fire there.
