Shaker 500 on a 2005 Mustang GT made in 2004
After six years my shaker 500 was replaced twice and it still doesn't play without skipping or sometimes will not play at all. Is this still the case or have they gotten rid of the stereo that sounds great when it decides it will play?

They don't refer to it as the "Skipper 500" for nothing. I have to admit, what little I've used the CD player has been trouble free. But with Sirius radio, I rarely listen to anyting else.

Maybe the problem was corrected in the 2007s'. I know that my stereo is enough trouble to think of replacing it soon and that the chrome on the radio is worth more than the radio itself.

My 1000 never gave me any problems at all and I was quite pleased with it. Recently swapped for a Pioneer 4200DVD unit. Much more room for playing around with my Ipod and adjusting the sound, and it pushes the Shaker subs to the max
