Default Bama Tuner Question

Ok, I'm considering selling my 05 V6 and replacing it with an 06 GT. What is the cheapest way to "take" my tuner over to the new car? I believe I would have to take my V6 back to the stock tune, and a new tune would have to acquired. I bought the tuner from AM with the lifetime tunes, but not sure how/or if that applies. Never quite understood the locking thing on these tuners.

Someone I know wants to turn mine into a blown drag car, so I'm thinking of switching a bunch of my mods and wheel over to a yellow GT I've had my eye on.

I'm not sure the tuner for the 4.0 can be used on the 4.6 but I could be wrong. Confirm with AM.

Hey,

Congratulations on stepping up the 06' GT, the 3V motors are really cool and you'll definitely love the power! As far as the tuner goes, if it's unlocked you can use the device on your GT once you acquire new tunes. Unfortunately the Free Tunes For Life program doesn't transfer between cars, so you'd have to buy into the program for your new PCM code. This is a one time fee of $150.

I hope this helps, Let me know if I can be of any further assistance or if you have any questions!

Appreciate the answer, I can deal with (and understand) the $150 fee for changing. If I had to replace the whole tuner I would find that a much harder price to swallow. Thanks!
