Convertible opinions

S197GT07 - One of the first thing I checked. Top is tight, just a little dirty. I believe the car has been garage kept for most of its life.
Researching for clearning and treatment products. Any suggestions?
Also, anyone know where I can find a TAN styling bar for my Vert? I see black and "Charcoal" all over the place. No Tan. Or Beige, or whatever,

I'm on my 2nd convertible Mustang and wouldn't think of doing anything else except a convertible GT500. Here in the NW it rains a bit. I've found the "303" product line to be pretty good with my vinyl top and my wife's cloth top Saab. 303 makes a cleaner for both and a fabric guard for the cloth tops. The only drag about the cloth top is the lint left behind by sponges, terry clothe towels, etc. I use a micro fiber wash mitt that works great and leaves very little lint. If you are into detailing the car yourself check out Griot's Garage online.
Since I have a vinyl top I never lower it unless it is 50 degrees or hotter outside. I learned that from my 97 GT where the vinyl cracked at the elbow area and the vinyl began peeling away exposing the cloth underneath.
Replacing the top costs around $2,000 and the chances of it leaking increase significantly.
Good luck and have fun down in the sun. Those of us in the Puget Sound are envious of your clear weather, but not 110 degree oven heat.

I'll look up the 303 cleaner. Kinda rainy and cold here at the moment but I'll give a good cleaning this weekend if it clears up.
And meh, you get used to the summer heat.
You just don't go outside during the day, stay away from windows, etc. On the bright side (ZING!), I can now work on my farmer's tan while driving.
