I adjusted the hood stops and also cut a piece of 1" thick HD foam the shape of the area over the headlights...cut out holes for the stops...sprayed it black to blend in... gives the hood a great rest and stops all air from entering...I have never seen my hood move again.

That car is over in storage and I wont be able to get to it for awhile...what I did was cut a piece of cardboard out to fit the area above the headlights and then used it as a pattern for the foam...the cardboard will give you an idea of what it looks like...

Yep, the hood shake is common. I've seen hoods blow up on S197 racecars and I was not interested in risking it. I added these to my car:

on the mustang i test drove and bought today, i noticed the hood shaking right around 70mph, glad i found this thread, and if you think these hood shake you should all drive a jeep JK. man them hoods really flutter.
