MadMike, Since the Manual Trannies tend not to exhibit this problem I am assuming that it is a Auto only problem. I have read that ford has programed some delay in the throttle to reduce drive train "Clunk" but I am not sure if this procedure addresses the "TIP-IN delay" I think this procedure is to sync the pedal switch with the serveo in the TB but if you have some delay with the Manual Trans,, try it , it could not hurt....

There is some good info here.....

Ahh that makes sense why I dont feel it. I thought maybe they fixed it up on the 06's

I am in the process of taking my old stock intake and mounting a small RF Camera inside with a bright white LED, then I will drive around wiwth this minicam in my intake ( hope it does not suck it in) [] anyway this should provide some answers.

I will post findings when I am complete

I have some lag when I downshift, I'll try the procedures and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.

Tape it to the inside...it shouldn't go anywhere, there isn't a whole lot of air just rushing in

I've got to tell ya, this is one on the best posts I've read in a long time.

Thank you so very much guys for your input. Great job.

I'm still waiting for the update on whether or not the throttle is actually opening up to 100% when the gas pedal is all the way to the floor.

Thanks again.

Well, over the weekend, before going somewhere in the GT followed the proceedure for elimination of throttle lag and all I can say is that........it works as advertized.

Thanks once again for the original post.

Has anyone been able to verify that the intake does in fact OPEN 100% when the gas peddle is floored?

John

Id love to ride in an 05 and witness this throttle lag. I dont notice it in my 06. I would think of all the complaining about it ive heard that it should be obvious for me to feel it. manual tranny, not sure if it matters.
It's an automatic thing I think, I know I have it on my 06 GT (auto), if I really step on it, it takes about 1-2 seconds and then it takes off. This is not from a top though, just when you're cruising, say that you're on the parkway and need to overtake another car.
