I just went out and tried the throttle lag fix. Instant gratification!!! Thanks to all who contributed. It worked the first time. I noticed an immediate improvement in response from the time I hit the pedal until it revs. There difference is at least half of what it was before. I recommend trying it. Only caveat is that you may get more wheel spin at launch now ...

I noticed an immediate improvement too but it didn't get rid of it all together. I guess I'll have to wait for the custom tune with the KB sc. -Joe

It seemed to need to be redone a few times.... before I really could evaluate it I got my C&L CAI and SCT x-2 from Brenspeed and all the problems have gone away. More than that, it totally hauls a$$. Anybody who wants to get rid of the throttle lag, look no further.

I have a manual with c&l intake and sct2 tune from brenspeed and I get pretty bad lag in second gear only, I'll have to try the fix tomorrow. I'm gonna ask brent about it to, I have to call there tomorrow to order new mufflers because FLOWMASTERS SUCK.

I tried it with my Manual, was already flashed with 93 tune from Brenspeed, I didnt feel any difference, but I only tried the steps once. Didnt think I had anything that needed to be fixed tho.

No lag noticed in second here, does it happen all the time or certain acceleration?
Mufflers rattling? Mine havent started yet, so far so good. Crossed fingers.

Really jsut on hard accel. its not "something that has to be fixed" in my opinion. doesn't really bother me to much, its only for a second, not like i'm drag racing at the track. And yes the freakin mufflers r rattling!!! FLOWMASTER SUCKS, lol.

I own a 2016 Mustang GT Base model Automatic Transmission and one of the areas I wanted addressed in a custom tune I had performed recently was the WOT lag. In the end it turns out a tune can't remove it. At least in my year model, it's the traction control that is the culprit and I'm suspecting it's the culprit in all previous models as well so try turning it off or in my case, I put traction in Advancedtrac Sport Mode (track mode is the only mode where this is available on the GT Premium) which is a reduced traction mode.

This thread died 10 years ago. I have 2 Stock 2014's and neither of them have this issue.

Are you anywhere near Charlotte or Fort Mill, SC? We should meet up sometime and do some pulls.
