Anybody use Rennstand jack stands
I tend to like the idea that a traditional jackstand has only 3 points of contact with the ground so it won't ever wobble. Using the top of the unit as the jack pad on the rennstand is a nice feature. But it looks like they have designed it with many potential points of failure, 4 pin points, angling the legs relying on the welds of the tune steel, no cross brace to prevent spreading... I'm guessing they did the engineering calcs to make sure it holds up to the weight rating, but that means it's likely 3x-4x heavier than a typical jack stand.
I decided to buy a set from ETA Mfg because they were 25.00 per jack cheaper and are the same exact design as the one in the picture, the one in my pic is made by Safejack.
Anyway I received them and when I saw the big Made in China stamped on the box I promptly sent them back, besides that the pinch weld adapter that came with them wouldn't work and it would cost another 108.00 to get the correct ones.
The Safejack brand however is made in the USA
