Car Care!
Seriously look at this: http://www.microfiberplus.com/microfiber.htm
This is the microfiber I use (wash mitt, wax cloth and drying towels). Also do not spray your car to rinse; have no nozzel on the hose (I made a rubber end so I don't accidently hit the metal hose end on the car) so the water runs off and thus sheets off to rinse. You can use a shop vac (a new one that hasn't been used to vac anything up yet) to then air dry (I use my shop compressor) particularly around "nooks and crannies". Also don't wash anymore than you need to. The idea is not to touch the car anymore than necessary to dry it. If you can simply dust lightly with California duster you are better off. (Follow this and you can have no swirls on black or any color)
Do get a screen for the bottom of your wash bucket. Very cheap and you'll keep from pulling particles out from your bucket (I'm talking even little ones you can't see)

Ricva05, might want to try this site, considerably less in price for the same thing. http://www.exceldetail.com/
Waffle weaves I think are the best. I use a smaller one to get the majority of the water off(after blowing nooks n crannys out) Then the larger one to do the actual drying.
Seperate washin mit for the lower part of the doors, wheel well lips, and wheels. And like sowaxe said, be **** about it.

Thanks Stoenr I will definitely try there product out.
Like it has been said, the ABSORBER is the way to go. I find that with a good wax on the car; after washing take it for a drive (hopefully down a highway for a few miles) which will 'blow' most of the water beads off the vehicle. Then just touch it up with the absorber; back bumper etc. NO HARD WIPING IS NEEDED. When done, detail tires and make sure rims are cleaned of any over-spray immediately with clean soft cloth. Clean your ABSORBER with soap and water and rinse GOOD with warm water...ring out and put back into container. NOTE: do not leave cleaning products in your car.
not to disrespect anyone on this post but I just wanted to add a little something something...I've been detailing cars on the professional level for a while and a little tip I always use especially if it is a dark color car is to pick up a product known as a detail spray...it's made by a few different companies but my favorite is made by auto magic...it's purple. this spray is used for just about everything but if you wash your car and after you blade the excess off please make sure your blade is clean...spray the auto magic directly on the wet car. then with a micro cloth wipe the car down. I guarenty no streaks or smears. with this you should be able to wash and quick detail a car in about 20 minutes. the car looks wax.
I've had some pretty good luck with the new Mr. Clean carwash system with regard to spots and drying.
Do you guys usually wax every time you wash? I've waxed many a car and motorcycle in my day, but this mustang just takes soo much time. Maybe I'm just getting impatient wanting to drive the thing more than keeping it spotless.
What kinds of wax do you guys use, and how much time does it take you to give your cars a good shine? Anyone try the new clear spraying "waxes" that leave no white residue (like by washer sprayer and body seams).
Also found this while surfing...

I've converted to TURTLE WAX ICE, brilliant, deep , wet shine. NO RESIDUE, does not mark up black. I use it on trim, vinyl, headlights, weatherstripping, rubber. Everywhere.............. Even inside on dash, doors, moldings.
also the Quick Detail Spray between waxing.
EZ on, EZ off------- even in direct sun.
GREAT STUFF, the BEST I've ever used.
